Another thing to consider - of have an ext hd connected and downloading update files to it, make sure "supply power to USB ports" is set to always and not 3hrs.
If its set t 3hrs, when ps4 goes to rest the hard drive will also be powered down after 3hrs. I updated a few games last night while in rest mode, latest update is fine. I would advise to lookup this problem on Youtube, ps4 rest mode not downloading, might some solutions there, or save all your downloaded games, save files etc on an external and re-initialise the PS4.
